1. Major categories of plastic materials
1. AS: The hardness is not high, it is brittle (there is a crisp sound when knocked), transparent color, and the background color is blue. It can be in direct contact with cosmetics and food. In ordinary lotion bottles and vacuum bottles, it is usually the bottle body. The material can also be used to make small-capacity cream bottles. Appears transparent.
2. ABS: It is an engineering plastic, not environmentally friendly, has high hardness, and cannot directly come into contact with cosmetics and food. Acrylic cosmetic packaging materials are generally used for inner covers and shoulder covers. The color is yellowish or milky white.
3. PP and PE: They are environmentally friendly materials that can be in direct contact with cosmetics and food. They are the main materials for filling organic skin care products. The material is white and translucent in nature. According to different molecular structures, three different degrees of softness and hardness can be achieved.
4. PET: It is an environmentally friendly material that can be in direct contact with cosmetics and food. It is the main material for filling organic skin care products. PET material is soft and its natural color is transparent.
5. PCTA and PETG: They are environmentally friendly materials that can directly come into contact with cosmetics and food. They are the main materials for filling organic skin care products. The materials are soft and transparent. PCTA and PETG are soft and easy to scratch. And it is not commonly used for inkjet printing.
6. Acrylic: The material is hard, transparent, and has a white background. In order to maintain a transparent texture, acrylic is often sprayed inside the outer bottle or colored during injection molding.
2. Types of packaging bottles
1. Vacuum bottle: cap, shoulder sleeve, vacuum pump, piston. Relies on air pressure for use. The matching nozzle has a chicken-bill pointed head (some are fully plastic or covered with a layer of anodized aluminum), and a duck-bill flat head is covered with a layer of plastic.
2. Lotion bottle: consists of cap, shoulder cover, lotion pump, and piston. Most of them are equipped with hoses inside. Most of them are made of acrylic on the outside and PP on the inside. The cover is made of acrylic on the outside and ABS inside.
3. Perfume bottles:
The inner component is glass and the outer one is made of aluminum (divided into rotating and non-rotating according to the hijab)
PP bottle (small injection full of PP)
glass drip irrigation
The inner liner of perfume bottles is mostly made of glass or PP.
Glass is used for large capacity because the storage time is long, and PP is suitable for short-term storage of small capacity. Most PCTA and PETG do not contain perfume.
4. Cream bottle: It has an outer cover, an inner cover, an outer bottle, and an inner tank.
External acrylic, internal PP material. The cover is made of acrylic on the outside and ABS inside with a layer of PP gasket.
Ceramic inside, PP outside anodized aluminum, lid outside anodized aluminum, PP inside ABS plus a layer of PP gasket.
Full PP bottle with a layer of PP gasket inside.
External ABS internal PP. There is a layer of PP gasket.
5. Blow molded bottles: Most of the materials are PET. There are three types of lids: swing lid, flip lid and screw lid. Blow molding involves blowing the preform directly into the bottle. The characteristic is that there is a bump at the bottom of the bottle. It's brighter in the light.
6. Blowing bottles: the materials are mostly PP or PE. There are three types of lids: swing lid, flip lid and screw lid. Blowing bottles is a process that combines blow molding and blow molding into one, requiring only one mold. The characteristic is that there is a bonded line at the bottom of the bottle.
7. Aluminum-plastic hose: The innermost part is made of PE material and the outer part is made of aluminum packaging. And offset printing. After cutting, roll and splice. According to the tube head, it is divided into round tube, flat tube and oval tube. Price: round tube < oval tube < flat tube
8. All-plastic hose: All are made of PE material, and the hose must be pulled out first and then cut and offset printed, silk screen printed, and hot stamped. According to the tube head, it is divided into round tube, flat tube and oval tube. In terms of price: round tube < oval tube < flat tube.
3. Nozzle, lotion pump, hand washing pump and length measurement
1. Nozzle: Bayonet (half bayonet aluminum, full bayonet aluminum), the screw mouth is all plastic, but some are covered with a layer of aluminum cover and a layer of anodized aluminum.
2. Lotion pump: There are two types of vacuum and suction tubes, both of which have screw mouths. The large cover of the screw port and the head cap can also be covered with an aluminum cover of anodized aluminum. There are two types: pointed beak and duck beak.
3. Hand-washing pump: The diameter is relatively large and they are all screwed. The large cover of the screw port and the head cap can also be covered with an aluminum cover of anodized aluminum. Generally, those with steps are threaded, and those without steps are those with left and right knobs.
Length Measurement: Divide straw length (from gasket to hose end or FBOG length). Exposed length. And the length measured from the bottom of the cover (equal to the length from the bottle shoulder to the bottom of the bottle).
Specification classification: Mainly based on the inner diameter of the product (the inner diameter is the diameter of the innermost end of the pump) or the height of the large circle.
Nozzle: 15/18/20 MM, fully plastic ones are also divided into 18/20/24
Lotion pump: 18/20/24 MM
Hand pump: 24/28/32(33) MM
Large circle height: 400/410/415 (just the specification code is not the actual height)
Note: Specification classification expressions such as: lotion pump: 24/415
Measuring measurement methods: (actually the dose of liquid ejected from the nozzle at one time), there are two methods: peeling measurement method and absolute value measurement method. The error is within 0.02g. The size of the pump body is also used to distinguish metering.
4. Coloring process
1. Anodized aluminum: The aluminum surface is wrapped in an inner layer of plastic.
2. Electroplating (UV): Compared with spray painting, the effect is brighter.
3. Spray coating: Compared with electroplating, the color is dark and matte.
Frosting: A layer of frosted texture.
Spraying outside the inner bottle: Spraying is done on the outside of the inner bottle. From the outside, there is an obvious gap between the outer bottle and the inner bottle. The spray pattern area is small when viewed from the side.
Spraying inside the outer bottle: The spray painting is done on the inside of the outer bottle, which looks larger from the outside. The area is smaller when viewed vertically. And there is no gap with the inner bottle.
4. Brushed gold-coated and silver-coated: It is actually a film. If you look carefully, you can find the connecting gaps on the bottle.
5. Secondary oxidation: Secondary oxidation is carried out on the original oxide layer, so that the glossy surface is covered with a dark matte pattern or the dark matte surface appears with a glossy pattern. Mostly used for logo production.
6. Injection color: Toner is added to the raw materials when the product is injected. The process is relatively cheap. You can also add pearl powder or white powder to turn the PET transparent color into an opaque color (add some toner for color adjustment). The generation of water ripples is related to the amount of pearl powder added.
5. Printing process
1. Silk screen printing: The effect after printing will have an obvious concave and convex feeling. Because it is a layer of ink. Silk screen regular bottles (cylindrical type) can be printed in one go. Other irregular pieces cost one time. Color is also a one-time expense. And it is divided into two types: self-drying ink and UV ink. Self-drying ink is easy to peel off over a long period of time and can be wiped off with alcohol. UV ink has a distinct bumpy feel to the touch and is difficult to wipe off.
2. Hot stamping: A thin layer of paper is hot stamped on it. So there is no uneven feeling like silk screen printing. And it is best not to stamp directly on PE and PP materials. It is necessary to perform heat transfer printing first and then hot stamping. Or there is good hot stamping paper that can be hot stamped directly. Hot stamping cannot be done on aluminum plastic, but hot stamping can be done on full speed.
3. Water transfer printing: It is an irregular printing process carried out in water. The printed texture is inconsistent. And the price is more expensive.
4. Thermal transfer printing: Thermal transfer printing is mostly used for products with large quantities and complex printing. It is a film attached to the surface. The price is on the expensive side.
5. Offset printing: mostly used for aluminum-plastic hoses and all-plastic hoses. If you use offset printing to make a colored hose white, you must use silk screen printing. The background color of the offset printing will show through. And sometimes a layer of bright film or sub-film is attached to the surface of the hose.
